Private high School-Alexander Academy students earn $1.4M in Scholarships
Written by Alexander Academy in Amazing Alexandrians, Blog, News and updates on May 12, 2025
At Alexander Academy, a private high school, success is more than numbers on a report card, it’s the outcome of a community committed to interactive learning, creative exploration, and the pursuit of excellence.
That’s why we are thrilled to share a historic milestone: our Class of 2025 has earned over $1.2 million CAD in scholarships and received 92 university offers from top-tier institutions, including the University of British Columbia, University of Toronto, UC Berkeley, and more.
While these achievements are impressive, they are not surprising. They are the natural result of our school’s unique approach: engaging students in real-world learning, creative expression, and collaborative exploration that builds not only knowledge, but also confidence, purpose, and vision.
Interactive Learning That Drives Results
Alexander High’s success starts in the classroom. Learning here is active, immersive, and meaningful.
Our teachers go beyond lectures. They spark dialogue, challenge thinking, and connect lessons to real life.
From science labs to historical research and business case studies, students are fully engaged.
This culture of curiosity and critical thinking drives our strong scholarship and university results.
Whether it’s medicine, engineering, the arts, or global policy—our students are ready to thrive.
Where Creativity Meets Purpose: Motown Magic
Excellence isn’t limited to academics at Alexander Academy, private high school, it thrives in our arts and cultural programs too. This spring, our Drama students attended “A History of Motown” at the Firehall Arts Centre. The experience brought history, culture, and music to life in a powerful way.
Students explored how Motown became a voice for social change, returning with a deeper understanding of cultural identity and expression. They also found inspiration for their own creative work, illustrating how arts education fuels empathy, critical thinking, and personal growth, key traits valued by today’s top universities.

Innovation with Heart: Science Fair Spotlight
Two of our standout students showcased their innovative project at the Greater Regina Science Fair, highlighting the creativity and skill nurtured at Alexander. Their project, “Divine Intervention with AEGIS: Utilizing AI for Aid in Mental Health and Strategy” was a fusion of compassion and technology.
By designing and 3D-printing an AI-powered helmet that supports mental health strategies, they demonstrated both technical skill and human-centered thinking. This project is an example of how Alexander students turn learning into action, tackling complex challenges with creativity and care.
It’s this kind of meaningful, student-led innovation that captures the attention of scholarship committees and admissions boards alike.
Walking Through History: Chinatown Experience
In April, our Social Studies 20 class explored Vancouver’s Chinatown in a way that textbooks simply can’t offer. This field trip connected students with the lived experiences of Chinese-Canadians, deepening their understanding of immigration, resilience, and cultural preservation.
Through this immersive journey, students learned to appreciate the strength of communities who have shaped Canada’s diverse identity. At Alexander, history becomes personal, relevant, and alive, helping students develop not just knowledge, but empathy and perspective, hallmarks of a global citizen.
Future-Focused: Economics at UBC
Alexander’s focus on career and post-secondary readiness was clear at the Discovering Economic Principles conference at UBC.
Our future economists spent the day solving global issues, learning from top experts, and engaging in hands-on economic challenges.
This is just one example of how we offer real-world learning that prepares students for careers in finance, policy, and entrepreneurship.
We don’t just prepare students for exams, we prepare them for leadership.
Why Alexander Delivers Excellence
Our students’ success comes from the interactive, holistic, and future-focused learning we offer every day.
They earn scholarships not just through grades, but through innovative projects, leadership, and community involvement.
Experiential learning across all subjects gives them a real edge.
We balance academic challenge with creativity and personal growth, so students thrive in university and beyond.
