Hi or Oi (Brazilian greeting)!
My name is Daniel Hayashi, and I am the new Marketing and Admissions Officer at Alexander Academy.
I am excited to be working in this amazingly culturally diverse institution. Multiculturalism is part of my identity. My parents are Japanese, but I was born and raised in Brazil. I have lived, studied, and worked in the USA, Brazil, and Australia before moving to Canada.
During my career, I have led international marketing projects across different industries. In the past four years, I have focused on the Education sector, working in education agencies and schools.
When I was younger, I had the opportunity to be an international student myself. Therefore, I understand the excitement and the struggles young students face when moving to a new country to pursue their dreams.
My mom is a teacher, and she has taught me since a young age that education is the key to a better world. Not only to build a career but to understand each person’s responsibilities as a global citizen and the power we have to positively impact other people’s lives. That is why I feel right at home at Alexander Academy, an institution that pursues excellence in an ever-changing world while cultivating a collaborative and supportive learning atmosphere that encourages action, inquiry, healthy living, and life-long learning for young global citizens.
Learning is what motivates me every day, and I have constantly pursued broadening my knowledge. My educational background includes a Master’s degree in Entrepreneurship and Innovation, a postgraduate degree in Strategic Management, a Bachelor’s degree in Economics, and two diplomas: Marketing and Digital Design.
I also love to hear other people’s life stories. So, if you see me on campus, let’s grab a coffee and chat.
See you around!
Marketing & Admissions Officer
