Led by Coach Mao, Alexander Academy’s Robotics C Led by Coach Mao, Alexander Academy’s Robotics Club competed in their first tournament of the year, the Gord Trousdell Ten Top Robotics VEX V5 Competition in West Vancouver! Lots of valuable lessons were learned, and the team is ready to use this experience and feedback to re-work their robot for their next competition in January! 🤖

Mr. Mao’s Digital Media Development 12 class too Mr. Mao’s Digital Media Development 12 class took a field trip to the Vancouver Art Gallery to examine the designs of the real world to reference for their digital projects using the software Inkscape. They also examined the Indigenous artwork “We Who Have Known the Tides” to understand how digital skills can be inspired by culture and story.

Field trip to the Vancouver Art Gallery! Ms. Tremb Field trip to the Vancouver Art Gallery! Ms. Tremblay-Cote’s art class enjoyed a guided tour of the feature exhibition, “Monsters in My Head” by Japanese artist Otani Workshop, and were mesmerized by the Zobop (Colour-Chrome) architectural exhibition in the rotunda by Jim Lambie 🎨
