The 2025–2026 school year is off to an exciting start at Alexander Academy, one of Vancouver’s leading private high schools in Canada. From community-building events to outdoor adventures, the first month has been filled with opportunities for students to learn, connect, and grow, both inside and outside the classroom.

Building Community Through the Club Fair

We kicked off the year with one of the most exciting events on campus, our annual Club Fair. The atmosphere was electric as students wandered through rows of booths, discovering clubs that spoke to every interest imaginable: from painting and poetry to robotics, debate, and community service. It wasn’t just about joining existing groups; students were also encouraged to pitch their own ideas. It sparked creativity and leadership from day one.

The campus came alive with colour, music, and laughter. Each booth had something unique to offer: interactive games, eye-catching displays, and friendly faces eager to welcome new members. It was a celebration of student passion and the start of countless new friendships.

Now, with club activities happening every Monday, Wednesday, and Friday, students have regular chances to dive into what they love, collaborate with peers, and grow in ways that go far beyond the classroom. The Club Fair didn’t just launch the year, it helped build a stronger, more connected community.

Team Spirit Shines at Sports Day in BC Place

Next came one of the most thrilling traditions at Alexander Academy, our Annual Sports Day at BC Place, one of Vancouver’s most iconic venues. Students and staff came together to celebrate teamwork, athleticism, and school pride.

From relay races to friendly competitions, the energy was contagious! The event promoted fitness and wellness and also reinforced the importance of unity, resilience, and mutual encouragement among students.

First School-Wide Trip to Grouse Mountain

To make the start of the year even more memorable, the entire school embarked on our first school-wide field trip to Grouse Mountain. Students and teachers spent the day surrounded by breathtaking views, learning about local wildlife, and taking in the natural beauty of British Columbia.
